Lydia obtained her Podiatry Bachelor’s Degree with an Honours in Australia and specialises in complex cases involving patients with multiple medical conditions and requires a comprehensive assessment, collaboration with GP or other disciplinaries and a uniquely tailored treatment plan.
She started out working in a semi-rural part of Queensland that allow exposure to various socioeconomic backgrounds and all walks of life. Following her move to Australian Capital Territory, she was able to work in a biomechanical clinic mainly servicing the Australian Defence force and another practice that specialised in high-risk foot care and nail surgeries. During her time at the latter practice, she managed various patients including acute and high-risk diabetics, cerebral palsy patients and chemotherapy patients etc.
Since her move to London, she had/has the opportunity to work with St George's Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital, Ealing Hospital, Northwick Park Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital. These diverse exposures have allowed Lydia to provide best evidence-based practice while holistically tailoring to the unique individual needs.
Lydia approaches each patient’s case individually and will dedicate the necessary amount of time to ensure she can provide a holistic care that is not only limited to the patient’s foot needs but as well as overall wellbeing. Presently, Lydia works as a Band 7 Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist with the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. She works closely in a multidisciplinary team including endocrinologist/diabetologist, vascular and orthopaedic surgeons, nephrologists, radiologists, orthotist and plastician team etc.
Lydia specialises in all things related to the foot and ankle and will assess accordingly to provide you a diagnosis, treat your foot and ankle condition and liaise with the necessary professionals to address your underlying health issues that may be causing your symptoms. Lydia will treat on foot problems in children to the management of foot problems in older people. Some of the issues podiatrists deal with include:

- Forefoot pain; morton’s neuroma, metatarsalgia, bursitis, stress fractures etc. (60 mins)
- Ankle pain; ligament or tendon sprain, fractures etc (60 mins)
- Sports injuries; runners, martial arts, gymnasts and aerial performers, dancers etc. (60 mins)
- Fungal toenails and Athletes foot and fungal toenails (45 mins)

- Paediatric foot problems; in-toeing, tiptoe walking, hypermobility, knee and lower back pain, growing pain etc. (60 mins)
