Do you have pain or injuries when cycling? Have you had a bike fit and still getting pain?
Are you struggling to meet your goals in training?
Bike fitting is a very popular process when buying a new bike however, one major part of the process often goes overlooked - the cyclist.
A cycling MOT which includes movement screening and strength testing, will highlight any areas with high and low risk of injury during your rides.
Once on the bike, the assessment will start at the pedal and work upward to include:
- Cleat and pedal position
- Knee position and control
- Saddle position (height, fore, aft)
- Handlebar position
Each MOT is tailored depending on the focus of the session, whether this is injury prevention or assessment or improving your exercise programme. To maximise the results and performance going forward, a progressive exercise program will be provided to (where possible) run alongside your training.
Liam has 15 years’ experience in the field of physiotherapy and is a specialist in movement analysis; as well having a sports science degree from Loughborough university. He is also a qualified bike fitter under the BIKEFIT brand.
